High Spec Audio ADC

PIC Remote Datalogger

This 24bit/192 ksps quad-input ADC board was produced as part of an instrumentation solution. It features a clock input that allows the sampling frequency to be locked to an external reference. In this case the input clock was 98.304MHz. The I2S interface has a digital isolator that stops ground loops from the connected processing device. The input amplifiers are also socketed to facilitate testing and optimization.

Web Data Logger

PIC Remote Datalogger

Before IOT was a buzzword, this remote logger was designed for a solar powered WiFi connected site. A PIC microcontroller connected via its internal ethernet PHY to the site’s router powers this solution. A serial EEPROM holds the JavaScript-enabled web pages allowing the logger to produce graphs of the logged data in real time.

Prototype Time and Frequency Standard

Time and Frequency Standard

A 10MHz GPS disciplined frequency standard was developed as a proof of concept done for a multinational organisation. A TI BeagleBone running NTP provides two 10MHz outputs and a one pulse per second output. The output from the Jackson Labs LTE-Lite is connected to NTP via GPSD to allow logging of the GPS signal.

Atmel Development Board

Low-cost development board for the Atmel ATmega 64/128. The USB connector allows the unit to run the Objective Development V-USB software USB stack. Includes RS232 interface and JTAG among its interfaces.

2.5GHz synthesizer

2.5GHz synthesizer

Developed as part of a high volume fixed wireless access telephone solution to replace the last mile of cable with an RF link. This synthesizer was design to work on standard 1.6mm FR4 and be mounted in an outdoor unit behind the antenna.
